The visual contrast between modern architecture and natural elements integrated within the urban environment is the main theme of the collection, a contrast which is conceptualized within fabric, shapes and colour.
The six experimental outer pieces, made of rigid fabrics (leather, rubber and plastic), represent the modernity of the urban environment, reflecting its atmosphere through the multitude of grays, completed by the shine and transparency of the plexiglas. These six pieces also reflect the stylistic connection between architecture and fashion, both having the purpose of sheltering the human body. Thus, the outer-pieces become architectural structures that protect the body and seize the inner-pieces, the fluid dresses.
The natural element is conceptualized through the six fluid dresses worn beneath the rigid outerpieces, their juxtapusion symbolizing the subordination of the natural element to the artificial, urban environment. It is a nature that is reconstructed according to the needs of the modern society, but still retains its characteristic dynamism, translated through the fluid fabrics in contrast with the geometric composition of the dresses.
Together, the two pieces reflect the atmospheric contrast between the artificial urban environment and the dynamic natural element.

This is my graduation project for university, a conceptual fashion collection. Been working on this the whole year, concept, illustration, written thesis, sewing of clothes (for which I have to thank my mother for help), photoshoots etc etc etc….it was very energy consuming, almost drove me bankrupt, but here it is, finished :)
And yes, it had the same title as my blog, I quite like it.
